What a fantastic day the CPR team had at this year's Picnic In The Park at Coalville Park on 5th July!
So many great acts, fabulous local stalls and tasty food places all out and showing up for Coalville in the very hot sunshine.
Everyone at CPR (Jim & Dave, Graham, Kenny and myself) loved meeting everyone who came out to enjoy the day and we gave out so many gifts to the children including the brilliant bubble wands!
Also at the event were Project Poppy who are in the process of making a beauftiful community art installation created to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of those who fought in the wars. Every unique poppy is handmade by volunteers from the local community.
If you would like to get involved, you can. Just knit or crochet your poppy and you can drop it off or get materials at the council offices opposite Boyes or at the Coalville & District Veterans Association. Donations and volunteers are also welcome.
Every poppy makes a difference and helps to reach the goal of creating a powerful and moving display made by the Coalville community! ❤️
