The 286

The 286 are a unique seven-piece orchestral rock band from South East London. They are best known for their "baroque & roll" sound, which seamlessly blends traditional indie rock riffs with classical cello and violin arrangements. The group named themselves after the London bus route that originally connected the band members and their music bridges the gap between generations, combining the symphonic rock energy of the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) with the pop sensibilities of The Beatles.
